What is a cooler rug?

A cooler rug is used when the horse is wet. The rug ensures a good drying phase so that the horse does not get cold. This can be after training when the horse is hot and sweaty or when the horse has been washed. Cooler rugs are breathable and sweat-wicking, allowing moisture to escape to the outside of the rug while keeping the horse temperate. Cooler rugs are also a popular choice for transportation

Catago Cooler Blanket

The Catago Cooler Blanket is a stylish and functional quilted cooler blanket in 100% acrylic with wool effect. It is ideal for transportation or after training as the material transports excess heat and sweat away from the horse. The rug has a beautiful classic look. It has edge bands, double front closure, removable cross surcingles and elastic leg straps and is available in black, navy and grey. The size range is from size 115-165. So even the smaller pony, the big horse and everyone in between can benefit from a Catago Cooler Rug. This rug has also been launched in a new version with slightly different features and is called Catago Cooler Rug 2.0

Catago FIR-Tech Rug

In this category you will also find our Catago FIR-Tech Rug. This extremely popular tire is produced in a lightweight and breathable material. The larger muscle groups are covered by a fine layer of Synthermax fiberfill while the entire inner material has woven-in ceramic particles. The result is an advanced double-action effect. The blanket is ideal for increasing wellbeing, reducing recovery periods and warming up muscles, tendons and joints. It is great for use before and after folds, training and competition. The rug has an optimal fit with cross straps and a strong chest closure. Available in the classic colors black and navy in sizes 115 - 165.

Catago FIR-Tech Elegant Show Rug

The Catago FIR-Tech Elegant Show Rug is a great combination of design and functionality. All the major muscle groups are covered with Synthermax fiberfill, while the entire inner material has woven ceramic particles, just like the Catago FIR-Tech rug. Again, the result is the advanced double-action effect where the horse's own body heat is reflected deep into the tissue, creating increased well-being, reducing recovery periods and warming muscles, tendons and joints.

It is an ideal rug for use before and after turnout, as well as training and competition. The rug has an optimal fit, removable cross straps, an elegant front closure with T-buckle and flap, and soft faux lambskin at the withers. The exterior in a beautiful satin look with fine pipes and logo detail completes the luxurious look. The rug is available in the classic colors navy and black and sizes 115-165 cm.

Catago FIR-Tech rug

This rug is a large multifunctional rug that also features Catago FIR-Tech technology. Due to its good size, you can use it to wrap yourself up if you're teaching or sitting at the barrier in a cold riding arena. It will also be great for your dog and of course your horse. For example, when warming up or dismounting. The rug has a practical strap so it's easy to hang up in the stable when not in use.

CATAGO Hybrid thermal rug

This cooler rug features Catago Hybrid technology. The graphene print on the inside of the tire has beneficial thermoregulatory, anti-static and abrasion-resistant properties. The lower part consists of a lightweight mesh fabric for extra ventilation in summer or during transportation. The rug has a fine shoulder pleat for an optimal fit in the front and two adjustable straps. It is gray with black mesh and available in sizes 115 - 165 cm.

CATAGO Hybrid thermal turnout rug

The Catago Hybrid rug is part of the Catago PerformanceLine. Designed to provide maximum comfort and protection in all weather conditions, thanks to durable 1680 denier polyester. The hybrid rug has taped seams, is wind and waterproof to a water column pressure of 5000 mm and has a breathability of 5000 mvp.

The horse's larger muscle groups over the back and hindquarters are covered by the breathable CATAGO Hybrid fabric with Graphene print, which is a great energy conductor and distributes the heat from the horse evenly over the entire surface of the fabric. This prevents overheating or cold areas, such as over the croup, and prevents stiff and sore muscles. With its high breathability, the hybrid material effectively conducts excess heat away from the horse, while at the same time removing static electricity, which means that static is conducted away from the horse's coat. Finally, the rug is lined with Synthermax, which keeps the horse warm and comfortable on even the coldest winter days.

Horse Guard Jersey cooler rug

These rugs are made in a soft polyester jersey. There is an adjustable double front closure, cross ties and a tail strap, which together ensure that the rug stays put whether it's used in the box or during transportation. They come in sizes from a tiny 95 cm. and cover up to 165 cm. so from the very small pony to the big horse, and all sizes of horses and ponies. They are available in several colors.

Horse Guard Kala cooler rug

The Horse Guard Kala cooler rug is designed in a soft waffle material and has a lightly padded collar. The waffle material makes it both breathable and insulating, lightweight and moisture wicking. A rug used to help with gradual cooling after exercise, to speed up drying and prevent cooling after washing or to maintain an ideal body temperature during transportation.

This cooler rug is designed from an exceptionally soft and absorbent microfiber dry fabric. The soft terry lining absorbs moisture and draws it away from the horse's coat. This cooler rug in a combination of soft jersey fabric and mesh provides a perfect combination to dry the horse on hot days as the mesh fabric ensures good ventilation and prevents overheating. The rug has a double front closure, cross surcingles and tail strap as well as a mesh tail section.
