Så fint plagg och fantastiskt True to size.. Är supernöjd 👌
Rigtig dårlig pasform på halsen, og desværre også dårlig stof til at lukke over velcro på den ene.

Horse studs are metal studs that are screwed into a horse’s horseshoe to provide better traction on slippery, muddy, or unstable outdoor surfaces. We usually compare studs to the studs on soccer cleats: Just as a soccer player changes cleats depending on the field, you should choose studs based on the surface.
When we develop equipment for riders, it’s always about making the partnership between horse and rider safer. That’s why we never recommend a single type of studs for every situation. The right choice depends on the surface, the weather, and the discipline you’re riding.
At Unamari, we’ve made the studs and accessories that we believe make the most sense in practice, whether you’re competing on the show jumping course or going for a winter ride in the woods.
There are many different types of horse studs, depending on the terrain and season.
It might seem overwhelming at first, but fortunately, the basic rule is simple: The harder the ground, the shorter the studs. The softer the ground, the longer the studs should be.
Short studs, especially the pointed ones, provide good traction on hard and dry surfaces. Choose short studs for hard and slippery surfaces, such as frozen trails, hard soil, or dry grass. We’ve had good results with studs around 10–15 mm, as they provide good traction without digging in too deeply.
When the surface is soft, wet, or muddy, such as long, soft grass, snow, slush, light mud, or deep mud—you should use longer studs. The length of studs for snow, soft grass, and light mud should be 14–17 mm, while studs for deep mud can be 17–25 mm long.
Once you have an overview of the different types, the next step is to choose the right studs for your horse. Choosing the right studs is all about matching the studs to the specific conditions you’re riding in.
We recommend that you consider these criteria before choosing studs:
Even the best studs only work optimally if used correctly. That’s why we always recommend that you:
We’ve put together our Horse Guard horse studs kit so you have everything you need in one package.
A complete set of horse stud from our own brand Horse Guard includes a wrench, two types of studs, and spare part, all in one place. This means you can quickly switch between short and long Studs when the weather or ground conditions change, without having to worry about not having the right tool.
When riding on hard grass after frost, in snow, or on soft grass after rain, studs provide traction that prevents slipping and injuries. Studs aren’t always necessary on riding arenas with stable surfaces, but they’re often required for competitions on grass courses.
Studs must be screwed into the thread in the horseshoe. Always make sure to clean the holes of dirt and debris before installation. Studs require maintenance and cleaning of the threads before use to prevent damage to the threads. Use a ratchet wrench or T-wrench to screw in the studs, and use thread protectors or plugs when the studs are not in use. Removal follows the same process—unscrew the stud, clean the threads, and insert a protective cap into the hole.
You can fit studs yourself with the right tools. With a T-wrench and a little practice, it’s quick and easy. Plug models and studs that require hot-punching or drilling into the horseshoe should be installed by a professional farrier. When in doubt, your farrier is always happy to advise you on the right solution.
Replacement depends on usage, surface conditions, and materials. When the tip is worn down to the level of the steel sleeve, it’s time to replace it. For competition use, this may be necessary every 3–6 months, while studs for recreational use lasts longer. Keep an eye out for signs of wear and clean the threads regularly to extend its lifespan.
