What is the difference between a dressage saddle pad and a jumping pad?

There is a difference in the shape of a dressage saddle pad and a jumping saddle pad. The two saddles are shaped differently and each type of pad is designed to fit each type of saddle optimally. The jumping pad is cut in a curve at the front to fit under the knee pad of the jumping saddle. The dressage pad is cut more straight at the front, as dressage saddles have straighter knee pads.

Catago FIR-Tech correction pad dressage

The correction pad with Catago FIR-Tech technology has the beneficial anti-inflammatory and warming effect of the ceramic particles, as well as three separate velcro-closed pockets on each side at the top under the saddle. The pad comes with 12 foam pads, making it quick and easy to ensure a correct saddle fit. The pad is highly breathable and comfortable, while remaining soft after washing.

How to wash a dressage pad?

We recommend that you regularly change and wash your horse's pad. Sweat, dirt, grime and loose hair should not accumulate on the underside of the pad as this can cause discomfort for the horse. Catago and Horse Guard pads are machine washable at 30 degrees. We recommend using a wash bag. Before washing the pad, loose hairs should be removed. This can be done with our Horse Guard Multistrigle.
