What is a saddle pad?
Saddle pad, pad, schabrack, are three words for one and the same product, namely the piece of riding equipment that is placed between the saddle and the horse's back. This is to protect both parts.
What is the difference between a dressage pad and a jumping pad?
There is a difference in the shape of a jumping saddle pad and a dressage saddle pad. The two saddles are shaped differently and each type of pad is designed to fit each type of saddle optimally. The dressage pad is cut almost straight in front, as dressage saddles have relatively straight knee pads. The jumping pad is cut in a curve at the front to fit under the knee pad of the jumping saddle, which is cut more round.
Horse Guard jumping pads
As we design and develop all the products you find here at Unamari ourselves, our range of Horse Guard jumping pads is always changing. Exclusively, you will always find the current and updated selection of Horse Guard jumping pads on this page.
Catago jumping pads
The same goes for our Catago jumping pads. We are continuously developing both designs and materials and are constantly introducing new jumping pads from Catago in various current designs that fit the modern rider's need for both functionality and fashionable designs.
Including the popular Catago Diamond jumping pad. It is an elegant and timeless diamond quilted saddle pad in durable and stain-resistant material that meets the highest standards and retains both color and shape. The pad has a smart double braided pipe and Velcro on all straps.
Catago Diamond is the official pad for the Danish national teams. The pad has our popular IQ Comfort inner surface, which transports excess heat and sweat away from the horse. In addition, the inside is soft and very comfortable for the horse's back.
Catago FIR-Tech jumping pad
The jumping pads with Catago FIR-Tech technology are very popular. The inner material of these jumping pads with ceramic particles provides an advanced double-action effect. The specially developed ceramic material converts and reflects the horse's body heat as electromagnetic infrared heat radiation. It penetrates the tissue and dilates the blood vessels. As a result, the flexibility of the back muscles is increased, which can result in better well-being for the horse and improved movement patterns.
Jumping arena pad
While most riders in dressage choose a white arena pad, in jumping there is often more variation in color. Of course, you'll also find white jumping pads in our range.
Most of our Horse Guard jumping pads, Catago jumping pads and Catago FIR-Tech jumping pads will be suitable for competition use. However, it's important to keep up to date. The rules regarding equipment for equestrian competitions are regulated annually, and sometimes even throughout the year. Therefore, we always recommend that you check the current set of rules before you dress you and your horse for competition.
Jumpers often choose a pad and a hat that match in color.
How to wash a jumping pad?
We recommend that you regularly change and wash your horse's pad. Sweat, dirt, grime and loose hair should not accumulate on the underside of the pad as this can cause discomfort for the horse. Catago and Horse Guard pads are machine washable at 30 degrees. We recommend using a laundry bag. Before washing the pad, loose hairs should be removed. This can be done with our Horse Guard Multistrigle.
